Better Than a Drink –
Bet on Gingers’ Tonic for a Refreshing Twist on Classical, Jazz and Pop!
Music resolves at its tonic. The chord resolution is beautifully harmonic and beyond satisfying, almost like downing a chilled drink in summertime. Starting from the conventional, Gingers’ Tonic will modernise familiar tunes of classical, jazz and signature pops to new possibilities. In two sections, Joyce Cheung will lead her ensemble to re-arrange signature classical masterpieces to styles of jazz music, and the Smash trio will bring the most dynamic tunes to our audiences.
Metaphorically Ginger represents our city’s homegrown musicians, who will collaborate in the performance, portraying a vibrant and balanced music scene of our city.
