場主的話

香港的表演場地終於在10月重開。過去一個月,我每個週末都進劇場看兩個演出。能夠回到劇場裡面看演出, 實在是很開心的事。一方面可以觀賞現場演出,另一方面,又可以在演出前 後及中場時間跟業界朋友聚頭,聊聊近況。

但是,全球仍然受著疫情持續所困擾,多個國家再收緊限聚令,迫使不少演出場地關閉。因此,面向未來,業 界需要努力探索出路,發掘更多可能,可以彈性調整製作內容及展演方式,令大眾可以在任何情況下,仍然可以接觸藝術,讓藝術與生活緊扣。

Words from the Founder

Hong Kong’s performance venues finally re-opened in October. During the past month, I visited theatres to see two shows every weekend. It was great to be back, watching live performances and meeting with friends in the industry before, during, and after shows to catch up and chat.

However, the world is still plagued by the ongoing pandemic, and several countries are tightening restrictions and closing performance venues again. Heading into the future, the industry needs to make great efforts to adapt. They need to explore new ways, develop new opportunities, and learn to become agile with content and productions. This will enable the public to maintain their access to art under any circumstances, and keep life and art closely intertwined.
